We need more volunteers! You will recall our last drive for new firefighters. They've all completed basic training, so congrats, and they are firefighters within the brigade.

We are looking for more recruits.

If you're available during the day, live in Pokeno village, and are interested in stepping up for the community, then we're particularly interested in talking to you. Here's an example of what brigade training may involve.

Breathing Apparatus training tonight, practising search and rescue, old shed, fake smoke out, via smoke machine, fake person to find & rescue. If you're interested in becoming a firefighter in the brigade, direct message or turn up at the Brigade. We train on Monday nights, from 6.30 pm.
